Designing a Lighthouse and a Dream in Chantilly

Loveless Porter is proud to have played a role in bringing the first Children’s Lighthouse Early Learning Schoolsto Virginia, serving as the architect for a soon-to-open location in Chantilly. Better yet, in doing so, we get to help a longtime Loudoun County couple achieve their dream of entrepreneurship.

After signing a contract to open the first Northern Virginia location of this Texas-based franchise, Jagadeesh Putchala said, “My wife and I have seen firsthand with our own children how crucial early education is in ensuring ongoing social and academic progress. We’re looking forward to establishing Children’s Lighthouse in our local community and nurturing future generations for continued success.”

Originally from India, Putchala grew up in a large family, fostering a sense of loyalty and intergenerational connectedness that shaped who he is today. This formative environment, surrounded by the love and guidance of immediate and extended family, influenced his desire to enter into early childhood education. As a parent, Putchala also witnessed the valuable skills his children learned from other early learning centers. Leaning into the extensive management and delegation skills he honed during his 22 years with Tiber Creek Consulting, Putchala aims to create a supportive environment for Chantilly families.

When working with franchisee clients, Loveless Porter is often challenged to find ways to individualize a property within the perimeters of corporate building and brand guidelines. This project was no different, as we got to know the Putchala’s and their vision, immersed ourselves in Children’s Lighthouse requirements, and applied our years of experience in daycare design. If you find yourself in Chantilly, keep an eye out for the lighthouse taking shape on Defender Drive. Apparently, it is catching the attention of Loudoun locals.
